The Majestic Fjords
Norway fjord viewing by boat is legendary but when you add hiking to the equation, you experience an entirely different dimension. We’ll use small boats on the spectacular Fjords to get around and disembark at little villages where we’ll spend the night in beautiful shore side hotels. We’ll then hike up into the surrounding mountains each day returning to our lovely villages and luxurious hotels each evening. Viewing the Fjords both from the heights as well as at sea level is a unique experience. Each week is in a different fjord so all the hikes are completely unique. The water passages are impressive, as the fjords are so narrow with very high cliffs and innumerable waterfalls. You’ll stay nightly at beautiful hotels at sea side.

The itinerary for the trip begins in Bergen, the gateway to the fjords. The next two weeks will be spent meandering up the fjords, spending three days of hiking in each Gudvangen, Ulvik and two days of hiking in Lofthus. Between each stay offers beautiful boat rides through the towering peaks. The final day of the tour offers a wonderful opportunity to explore the bustling city of Bergen. Hotels on the entire trip are three, four, or five star with superb meals.
